Professional License Policy
OPEN ARMS HEALTHCARE LLC
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
PROFESSIONAL LICENSE RENEWAL
PURPOSE: To maintain quality service provision, fiscal responsibility, and financial stability by ensuring that all clinical staff have a valid professional license in place.
This policy applies directly to all clinical staff of OPEN ARMS HEALTHCARE LLC, in positions that require a professional license in order to provide services.
When your license or registration lapses, you can no longer practice your profession nor can you identify yourself as a licensed or registered individual. Practicing without a valid license or registration is illegal and can result in legal proceedings as well as disciplinary actions. OPEN ARMS HEALTHCARE LLC requires that all applicable staff must renew their license PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION DATE. As OPEN ARMS HEALTHCARE LLC is the agency that provides reimbursement for your services, this means that a grace period is NOT honored and staff without a valid license are subject to suspension.
At time of active employment, the applicant must present a copy of the current license and the Nu Life administration will do a verification check thru the Virginia Board of Health Professions to confirm that the license is active and in good standards.
Professional Licensed Staff will inform OPEN ARMS HEALTHCARE LLC, of any changes, disciplinary actions, or conditions that affects their license and their ability to work in that compacity with the agency.
Failure to do so will result in immediate termination of employment.
OPEN ARMS HEALTHCARE LLC Administration will make random checks with the Virginia Board of Health Professions to ensure professional licensure is current and in good standards.
